If you wish to learn how to effectively penetrate the sometimes
overwhelmingly competitive Network Marketing and Direct Sales
marketing arena, I am going to give you my pure, common sense
formula right now.
You must tap in to what drives the Internet and the driving force
that fuels the Internet is Information. Information can be in the
form of help, tips, strategies, techniques, secrets, newsletters,
reports, or any other means of providing INFORMATION to
prospects.
For example, I am involved with a Network Marketing opportunity,
but while the 90 – 95% of the bunch that’s “in
the dark” will use their company replicated website or even a
distributor developed replicating marketing system that does
nothing more than immediately expose the distributor or provider of
the website as a “salesperson”, I tap into the next
level of prospects. These are your prospects that have already gone
past just finding the next big opportunity. Nope… they have
already been there, done that and at this point, they are tired of
burning their hard-earned money on useless products and investing
into automated systems that barely work.
The group of people I am speaking of is your thinkers, the
learners, those who value education, those who desire to understand
not just the what, when, where, or the why, but exactly how this
will and should work if and when everything is working and in
place.
Here is the thinking behind the formula…
Number One Must Have Ingredient: INITIATING THE RELATIONSHIP
It is not hard to find and identify people who are simply
INTERESTED in making big money barely doing anything working from
home in their pajamas. However, the reality is - INTEREST alone is
not enough.
What I have found is those people who are most serious about
building a Network Marketing or Direct Sales business are actively
seeking out information, training and specialized knowledge on
exactly HOW to build a successful Network Marketing or Direct Sales
business and they are MAGNETICALLY ATTRACTED to this
information.
The perfect door opener to initiating a relationship is to provide
the INFORMATION that your HIGHEST QUALITY prospects are seeking. By
providing your highest quality prospects with the information they
are actively seeking, a potentially profitable relationship is
initiated because you are
not just offering your prospect another opportunity (remember, they
still have not figured out why they fail with the last 5
opportunities). You are actually helping them by providing them
with specific information, techniques, tips, and strategies on how
to be successful with their Network Marketing or Direct Sales
business.
In the process of delivering the information your prospect is
seeking, you are developing a relationship of goodwill and building
the rapport that leads to the #2 MUST HAVE ingredient…
Number Two Must Have Ingredient: Building Trust &
Friendship
Building Trust and Friendship is the number 2 MUST-HAVE Ingredient
required for your Internet Based Network Marketing or Direct Sales
business to grow and last.
As you build rapport, TRUST and FRIENDSHIP with your prospects by
providing them with the specialized information they desire, you
are developing a relationship that was initiated with your offering
of HELP.
This is a very important point because this changes your personal
classification or categorization in your prospects mind. Instead of
being someone that just attempting to recruit them, you have now
become an asset or resource to your prospect. The relationship
cannot and will not develop until trust is built.
How Do You Build Trust and Friendship?
The most effective approach to building trust after you have
successfully initiated the relationship is to continue to build on
that which initially attracted your prospect to you. Continue
providing your prospect with information on a consistent basis (at
least every 2 – 3 days).
Let’s use successful recruiting techniques for your Network
Marketing opportunity as an example of a topic that would most
certainly interest your most serious prospects.
Just imagine a Pay-Per-Click Ad on Google that reads:
Suck At Recruiting? So did I…
Until I discovered the highly guarded secrets the pros use that
practically force my highest quality prospects to call me.

Now once your prospect gets to your site, you offer a FREE
“Recruiting Secrets Revealed” boot camp in the form of
a 10 day email series.
You request that your prospects submit their name and email address
to you (phone number is you wish), and you deliver the entire 10
day email series to your prospects through an autoresponder.
Now, if you have taken the time to produce quality information that
delivers specialized value to your prospects, and not just generic
information, your prospects will begin to consider you as HELP, an
asset, and a resource. Once you have helped your prospect, your
prospect will begin to look to you for more high quality
content.
Hopefully at least midway through your 10 day email series, your
prospects will begin wondering:
Hmmmm… this sure is good information. This guy/girl really
knows their stuff. And they are giving this information away for
free. I wonder what their primary Network Marketing or Direct Sales
opportunity is.
This is where the MAGIC begins!
This leads us into the #3 MUST-HAVE Ingredient…
Number Three Must Have Ingredient: Gaining the Commitment
I say this is where the magic begins because from this point
forward, as a result of your VIP classification in your prospects
mind, you have a much better chance of gaining the attention,
interest and desire for your prospect to take action with you.
This formula can be compared to a relationship…
If I were to meet my wife and expose her to everything I have to
offer right from the beginning, there is no way she would have
committed to me (I had nothing?)
The point is… I had to court my wife. I had to take her on
dates. We spent time getting to know each other before we committed
to one another.
This is the same process you should consider with your prospects.
Even though we put a lot of “automated systems” in
place, we must never forget that there are real people on the other
side of the “automated system” attempting to process
real information and make a decision.
Again, my pure, common sense formula is:
1. Number One Must Have Ingredient: INITIATING THE RELATIONSHIP
2. Number Three Must Have Ingredient: Gaining the Commitment
3. Number Two Must Have Ingredient: Building Trust &
Friendship
