Fungus a Factor in Weight Battles
Fungus a Factor in Weight Battles
(ARA) - If
you feel like you're losing the battle of the bulge no matter what
you do, the problem may have less to do with what and how much
you're eating than with what's living in the food and accumulating
in the body for years: fungus.
Fungal poisons - known as mycotoxins - have been linked to an array
of health problems, from diabetes to psoriasis and even obesity.
Mycotoxins can be found in many foods Americans regularly eat,
according to Doug A. Kauffman, a nutritionist, author and host of
the "Know the Cause" television program on health.
According to Kauffman, diets that seem diametrically opposed to
each other - like those that eliminate fats and ones that emphasize
reduced carbohydrates - can often produce similar positive results
because they are both reducing consumption of foods that contain
mycotoxins. Animal fat is a source of mycotoxins, as are many types
of grain, Kauffman notes. Low-fat and low-carb diets both tend to
substitute mycotoxin-filled foods with others that have natural
mycotoxin-fighting qualities.
"Yes, diet is important," says Kauffman. "But understanding why
diet is important makes us both product consumers and healthy
people."
"The average American probably doesn't think about fungus unless
they've been diagnosed with athlete's foot or ring worm," notes Guy
Evans of Bio Active Nutrients, a leading provider of anti-fungal
remedies. "Yet the link between fungus and health problems is well
documented in scientific studies. One of the most overlooked
problems associated with fungal infections are their ability to
thwart weight loss efforts."
Antifungal remedies, like BioActive's Antifungal Kit, enhance
weight loss efforts in two ways, says Evans. First, they help clean
the body of mycotoxins, thereby promoting overall improved health.
Second, the remedies are most effective when implemented with
dietary changes.
"Many people experience initial success with a particular diet and
exercise program, and then hit a plateau," Evans says. "The
Antifungal Kit helps break the plateau with dietary changes and
elimination of fungal infections."
"Dietary changes and regular exercise are essential to weight
loss," he adds. "You need to commit to a diet that does not feed
the fungus. A two-step plan works best. First, during the active
phase of your weight-loss and fungus fighting campaign, you will
need to eat a diet high in protein, with little or no carbohydrates
or sugar. Once you have your body back in control, you will be able
to resume eating some of your favorite foods again."
Bio Active Nutrient's antifungal regimen includes detailed
directions for when and how to take antifungal remedies, as well as
suggestions for a diet plan. The company will also provide
customers with verbal guidance on where to find the best resources
for nutritional information.
