Get Your Groove On With Ezine Ads
Get Your Groove On With Ezine Ads by Joe

This used to be one of the best ways to get your business out into
the open. But does it still?
See, nowadays it's more common that people realise that the money
is in the list. So you need to consider a couple of things before
advertising in ezines.
1 thing you want to realize is that it has no purpose to pay good
money to advertise in an ezine with low open rates and readership.
This presents us with the first problem because the best just don't
accept advertising anymore. Or are very expensive.
Another thing is that a lot of these ezines that are sent through
email are normal email formats. Nothing fancy. And again, the only
ads inside are usually ads they profit from themselves.
Oh yeah, sure there are great ezines you can pay to get ads
published. But usually these have small readership since they just
started to grow. And they begin with hardcore, old-school ezines
with articles, resources and ads inside.
If you are lucky enough to discover one of those big ezines with
buyers, it's often hard to get in. In the conventional way.
That doesn't mean you can't get an ad in. You need to be creative.
Contact the ezine owner, ask them to sign up for your affiliate
program and offer them higher commissions, e.g. 75% instead of 50%.
Make them feel special.
Notice this: Always read the ezines content before you advertise in
one. This is so you can be sure the content is of the highest
quality.
Also, if you invest, ask those figures. Ask if they can proof their
claims like open rates from previous owners, people on their list,
etc. A lot of ezine owners are dishonest about those. But this
doesn't mean you'll get same results since it does depend on your
ad, too.
Never be satisfied with cheap bottom sponsor or classified ads. Try
to always get those top sponsor or solo ads for best results.
A valuable tip: go to online networks that publish for ezines. They
oftenly have the best ones in their networks at the best possible
rates for you.
